I am most interested in personal injury and clinical negligence, having written my LLM dissertation on the UK Supreme Court decision in Paul v Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust [2024] UKSC 1. I also observed a court hearing on barred aesthetician Ricky Sawyer's alleged breach of injunction. I have also observed court hearings relating to employment, property and criminal matters, including during a criminal mini-pupillage with Central Chambers Manchester.

I volunteer with the BPP Legal Aid Clinic, as part of the Welfare Rights team, from which I have case work experience using the case management software Clio. I also delivered a workshop in 2025 on protest law with BPP's Streetlaw project. Throughout my studies I have also worked in a number of customer service and hospitality roles, including at Marks & Spencer, Oliver Bonas and as kitchen staff for the University of Manchester Students' Union and Stockport's Funky Monkey Coffee Company.

I am at the end of the Bar Training Course with Professional Legal Studies at BPP Manchester, on course to complete it with Distinction. In 2025 I completed my PGDL with an LLM in Law & Legal Practice with Merit, and in 2024 I graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA (Hons) German Studies degree, classified at 2:1.

I decided on law after considering how quickly a career in translation (as originally intended) would be swallowed up by the spectre of generative AI. This happened about as fast as you can say "clinical negligence claims".

Having worked very hard throughout school and university to develop my oral communication skills, and considering I had successfully convinced faculty staff to:

change dissertation supervisors; and
write my dissertation on Falco, the late 'Rock Me Amadeus' singer (awarded a First),

I figured that a career in law would be something I'd be quite good at.
